About Me
Established oh so many decades ago

If I was to tell you about my photographic passion, it would span the decades and would sound very similar to many others; self-taught, high school yearbook photographer followed by formal training of some sort, mine was Photo Journalist, three or four different careers, and then today, semiretired and dusting off the camera to get back into things.
Over these years I have had many opportunities to meet fantastic people and visit interesting places. As an example, recently I was one of a small group of photographers who had access to an international scientific laboratory 7200 feet underground which houses many deep space experiments designed to explain how the universe works.
As a Journalist I have had opportunities to photograph national and international celebrities including members of the Royal Family, a Prime Minister and several members of parliament over the years. And not to date myself any more, a member of the Royal Canadian Air Farce.
Today I tend to gravitate toward landscapes and nature photography and I have been know to shoot Candid or Environmental Portraits, with a splash of Editorial and Studio work to keep things interesting.
In all these genres, my goal is to convey an emotion within the image to allow you, the viewer, the opportunity to be part of the story and make the image a part of your life just as much as it is a part of mine when I captured it.
I am pleased to showcase my work and I look forward to your stay.
Michael

“When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.”
― Ansel Adams
