Where do you begin with the story of my Old Sole. Montie is a Keeshond and been by our side for nine years. Throw out all the clichés you say when one passes, but he has always been amenable to a photo or two even now and then.
As you can see in this image, he loved to make a hole in the snow and enjoy wintery weather like all double coated dogs do. So to take advantage of the tranquil pose, I had to, just like him, make a dent in the snow so I can capture this portrait.
Although simple in composition its execution was challenging as this was a high-key environment between the white snow and his black and grey colouring. As I always try to capture any image correctly in camera, this image did lend itself to some time in post editing to make Montie standout in his wintery white surroundings.
